We’re over the moon to announce that we have reached this significant milestone on WeddingWire for our business!! It means the world to us to read reviews like the ones below, of our couples talking about the ways that we have exceeded their expectations to create their dream-come-true wedding day!

This photo is from Shana and Kamal’s dreamy wedding at L’Auberge de Sedona. Arizona Photo & Video did an outstanding job with their photos, and the other talented vendors pictured are White Sage Rentals and Uqualla.

You can also check out our previous post to see how their wedding was featured in DC Modern Luxury Magazine!!

Here are a few words that Shana shared directly with us about their wedding:

“Thank you so much for yesterday! We had an amazing time and everything ran so smoothly! We are so honored to have worked with you and appreciate all that you did to make our day so magical ????” And the next day: “Thank you again!! You made our wedding day so magical ???”

And here is a sample review from WeddingWire:

Kurt T.: Life-Saver

After starting the process of planning our wedding, we quickly discovered we were going to be in over our head, both from a time commitment and detail standpoints. So we are so thankful we found Weddings in Sedona. They made the whole process much more calming and focused than on our own. And they recommended the perfect vendors that helped make our vision a reality. From photographer to musician to floral and decor, everything turned out exactly how we wanted. Could not be happier with the planning and end result. And the day-of coordination was flawless. No detail overlooked and everything went off smoothly without any issue.

This Wedding Featured in DC Modern Luxury Magazine!!

We’re so excited to share Shana and Kamal’s stunning photos, and stories of their magnificent weddings! We knew from the start it was going to be an incredibly special wedding day when we got the initial call from Shana saying she and Kamal had their first wedding in Morocco with his family and friends, and that they wanted to have their second wedding in Sedona with her loved ones. Shana’s sweet personality instantly captivated us, and the photos she shared of their Moroccan wedding literally brought tears to our eyes! Shana and Kamal had a uniquely personalized vision of incorporating touches of Moroccan wedding traditions into their Sedona Native American wedding, and it was an honor to provide ala carte services and onsite coordination for their sacred marriage of customs and cultures. Here are some photos of how it all came to life at the idyllic L’Auberge de Sedona and Huckaby Trail!

We’re also thrilled to announce that Shana and Kamal’s wedding was featured in DC Modern Luxury Magazine!! Here is a quote from the article:

“…the lovebirds took over L’Auberge de Sedona, participating in a Native American ceremony from the Havasupai tribe. Guests were welcomed in the traditional Moroccan way with mint tea and dates, then enjoyed seared wagyu filet and truffle risotto during the reception, where Shana serenaded Kamal with a rendition of Terry Clark’s ‘Now That I’ve Found You’.”

Chapel Intimacy

Roxanne and Curtis wedding chose the quaint Chapel at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village for their ceremony that was performed by Ken Froessel, and the Terrace at Patio del Norte for their intimate dinner reception—the wedding was perfect! Click through the gorgeous photos by Marianne Brown Photography to get a feeling for this charming affair! Their exquisite cake by Sedona Bakery was complete with edible gold flakes and complimented by Bavarian Fruit Tarts—we love it! They were serenaded by the talented Eric Miller on guitar, and Bliss Extraordinary Floral added their tasteful floral fantasy. Our bride and groom wanted wood fired pizza for their dinner, so Into the Fire brought their mobile oven! Bright Event Rentals and BBJ La Tavola provided the lovely rentals, and Patricia Vega Hair and Makeup Studio was the salon talent.

Wishing you over-the-top happiness always, Roxanne and Curtis!

A Shining Celebration!

What a blast!! Lauren and Dominic and company kicked up their heels at this wedding of a lifetime at the gorgeous Enchantment Resort!! We were thrilled to see everything come together in such an extraordinary way.

Even the red rocks had shining golden tips in celebration!! The photos tell the real story, so enjoy!

Here’s what the Bride had to say:

“Susan with Weddings in Sedona was an absolute treasure from start to finish. She is organized, professional, and will go above and beyond to translate your vision into reality. She not only gave me the wedding of my dreams, she helped me plan it and then re-plan it after covid-related setbacks. Because of Susan I had zero stress the day of my wedding because I knew that she had crossed every T and dotted every I well before even the week of the wedding! I could not recommend Susan high enough, and even this review does not do justice to the peace of mind having her on my team brought me. Susan will do everything and more to make sure you have the day of your dreams!”

May you two continue to laugh your way through life, and may you continue to relive all of the moments, large and small, throughout your lifetime, from your spectacular wedding day!!

M & C’s Happily Ever After!

Join us and you’ll see why this wedding has all of the markings of a true fairytale! Michelle and Craig were married a few years ago, but the pictures of their wedding are absolutely timeless. The wedding was nestled among the warm red rocks of Boynton Canyon, at the award-winning Enchantment Resort.

The ceremony took place at the Wedding Knoll, with leafy green trees above their heads, soft grass beneath their feet, and hanging red roses and white origami blooms as their backdrop. Their closest loved ones were there to witness this oh so romantic scene unfold, as our couple was welcomed with an open aisle lined on both sides with lanterns, bright pink flowers and rich orange leaves.

Romantic shots capture Michelle and Craig in tall grasses enjoying their day of days, and you’ll even see a deer join them for a moment. After the ceremony, an intimate dinner reception was feast for all, including a deliciously unique wedding cake.

Like A Dream

Andy and Jon’s enchanting wedding was a visual feast! As lighthearted as it was sincere, this emotion-swept wedding was embraced by the classic charm of Tlaquepaque’s Patio de Las Campanas. Its timeless arches were filled for this event with long, romantic strings of pink carnations. You’ll see how Andy and Jon blended traditional customs with a breath of fresh air, to create a ceremony and reception that offered us a glimpse into their truly special connection.

And this bride was stunning! Andy’s elegant beauty, combined with her dare-to-be-different wispy blush-pink floral dress, her trendy succulent bouquet which included dusty pinks, desert rose, creams and greens, and her sweet flower crown–all worked their magic to create a brilliant bride to behold! Her groom was the perfect compliment, as Jon was dressed smart, and so charming, in his burgundy brown suit and teal vest.

The ceremony was rich with laughter and love, and the reception was warm and wonderful! Be sure not to miss the reception setup, as the patio was transformed from the lovely ceremony site to the graceful intimate southwestern-style dinner celebration, while guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour on the Terrace at Patio del Norte. And don’t forget to check out the exquisite succulent cake! The bottom tier boasted of chocolate with caramel filling, while the middle tier proceeded with a silky red velvet cake with cream cheese/buttercream filling, and the top tier whispered a soft lemon cake with raspberry filling nestled within. Pure delight!

Andy and Jon, we wish you every happiness imaginable, as your days and nights turn into months and years, and the delightful decades are filled with awesome moments specially planned for just the two of you!

It takes a village, and we had one! We extend our gratitude to the skilled professionals that brought their finest talents to make this dream wedding come true:

Rainbow Blessing

Kelly and Ken’s wedding was brimming with joy–there’s no other way to say it! You can see the total happiness on their faces, and their day even came complete with a rainbow, blessing the occasion! Agave of Sedona provides an idyllic backdrop, as this couple began the day there with Kelly and her ladies preparing for the day in the exquisite Bridal Suite, while Ken and the guys hung out in a cool outside alcove they’ve affectionately dubbed the “Man Cave.” The enchanting ceremony sweetly unfolded on the Ceremony Terrace, and afterwards family and friends naturally flowed onto the covered Celebration Terrace to enjoy the cocktail hour filled with nibbles and libations to delight the palate! And then it was time to move indoors to the Montage Ballroom for a fabulous dinner, followed by toasts, cake cutting, and dancing, with sincere well-wishing and hugs and kisses woven throughout the evening hours!

If you’ve been to many weddings, or actually even just one, you know that each carries its own personality. Kelly and Ken’s was imbued with sincere devotion and an easy laughter that was enjoyed by all–including us!

Congratulations Kelly and Ken, and may your lives be filled with the kind of endless incredible moments that can only be found with your One True Love!!

Native Ceremony, Simple & Sweet!

Meet Anne and Aaron, a super-sweet, down to earth couple, who did their wedding day on their own terms, and we loved it! They spent their wedding day eve camping out right here in Sedona, and we’ve included below the photo they sent us as they enjoyed the beautiful sunset.

From Anne’s unique floral wedding dress, to their turquoise wedding rings, to their bare-footed Native American ceremony, this celebration was a distinctive expression of Anne and Aaron’s relationship from beginning to end!

This was the wedding of our dreams and you both [Susan and Jennifer] made it come true! We wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you so much for working with Aaron and I on such short notice! We will definitely be back to visit again…and with our newest addition, our baby!

Thank you, Anne and Aaron, for these kind words, and we can’t wait to meet your new wee one–come back soon!

Stylish Vintage Charm!

It wasn’t hard to throw our hearts into Stephanie and Chad’s wedding, and as you read the story of their day and look through the photos, you’ll get a taste as to why! All of the intimate details came together seamlessly, one hour after the other, as Stephanie and Chad savored each and every moment of their wedding day. Soft pinks, desert succulent greens, and teal married a unique blend of vintage and contemporary themes, to create a wedding that was as trendy as it was comfy–all to be thoroughly enjoyed by Stephanie and Chad and their closest circle of family and friends!

Each event naturally unfolded into the next: intimate first look, amazing wedding ceremony, stunning red rock photo shoot, easy cocktail hour, delicious dinner, delectable desserts, frivolity at the photo booth, dancing galore, all revealing this couple’s laughter and love, quiet tenderness, and casual delight!

Gorgeous Gatsby

If ever there was a fairytale wedding, Sarah and Galen’s fits the description perfectly! They chose a Great Gatsby theme at L’Auberge de Sedona: Elegant and chic, and with their meticulous planning, not a detail was overlooked. As you can see from the photos, the wedding was stunning from beginning to end. The love between Sarah and Galen was palpable. Their First Look by the creek was filled with joyous emotion, and was followed by an intimate ceremony up on the SpiritSong Terrace, with stunning views of the crimson red rocks for which Sedona is so famously known.

The springtime garden cocktail hour and reception gathering by the creek provided the opportunity for loved ones to relax and enjoy the lush surroundings and ambiance. The celebration was made even more special, with an exquisite string quartet playing in the background. Birdcages, vases, and the like were filled with fragrant floral overflow, and an abundance of candles and leafy decor graced the tables. This charming couple enjoyed hand-selecting each and every piece, creating a symphony of shimmering charm to the sheer delight of their guests!

Sarah and Galen, we’re grateful to have played a part in your enchanting wedding, and we wish for you a lifetime filled with the kind of enriching moments that you experienced on your one-of-a-kind wedding day!

Princess Bride & Her Prince Charming

We were so excited when Shay and Greg’s wedding day finally arrived! Susan Perry had the honor of marrying this dear couple on an absolutely gorgeous fall day in Sedona. Shay reminded us of an elegant princess, with her spectacular dress and accessories, and Greg couldn’t have been a more charming groom!

Their wedding day began at the Sedona Creative Life Center’s Peace Garden Gazebo, and ended at their Chapel. The ceremony actually took place out on the red rocks of Huckaby Trail, so they combined different locations to come up with their perfect wedding day! JReece Photography captured classic and unique moments throughout, and took advantage of the soft lighting as the red rocks popped just before sunset, to memorialize the ceremony for years to come.

Our own Jazi Kidd was the Day Of Coordinator, supporting Shay and Greg, as well as their family and friends, as the day unfolded.

Thank you so much, Shay and Greg, for choosing us to help make your Fairytale wedding dreams come true! May your relationship, home, and family be graced with delightful grins and giggles, and extraordinary happiness always!

Mr. & Mrs., Country-Style!

From Christina’s very first email to us, we knew how sweet she was, and we were super excited to help plan her wedding! Christina and Jordan came all the way from the UK with their closest family and friends to tie the knot country-style with their ceremony out on the red rocks of Sedona, and the reception they planned themselves at M Diamond Ranch. As you can see, all of the elements of their dream wedding came together, including breathtaking red rock views, a beautiful sunflower bouquet, the coolest country music, a horseback ride, and a casual BBQ reception as the sun was setting. The photos tell the story better than we can, so scroll down for a peek into Christina and Jordan’s lovely wedding!

High Desert Romance

Natasha and Maris were married just prior to sunset, facing a backdrop of breathtaking panoramic terra cotta-colored vistas, in the High Sonoran Desert at Dry Creek Vista. The sacred Native American-style ceremony was performed by Mario Black Wolf, a Medicine Man from the Mechica-Apache Tribe. Our gorgeous, spirited couple picked out their own Native American blanket, which became part of the ceremonial service that would transform them from bride and groom to husband and wife. Bonnie Miller’s expert photography caught the light just perfectly, as it softly streamed through this life-changing event.

Natasha’s airy bouquet was created by Sedona Fine Art of Flowers, and was laced with baby’s breath, eucalyptus and soft white flowers. Anthony Flesch enhanced the ambiance with the melodic tones of the Native American flute.

With closest family and friends and their large and small Doberman Pinschers by their sides, they bowed their heads, laughed and celebrated, this day that would be unlike any other in their lives.

We invite you to set aside a moment to take in the stunning beauty of Natasha and Maris, and their extraordinarily unique wedding day.

“May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life.”
— from an Apache Blessing

Congratulations, Natasha and Maris!

A Converse & Pearls Wedding!

We invite you to step into the delightful world of Alissa and Mitch, and their fun-loving wedding day! This couple really did it up their way for sure, complete with a full array of Converse shoes for themselves and their whole bridal party! The wedding took place at the spectacular Sky Ranch Lodge, and the spirit of this light-hearted couple was captured perfectly by Jess and Genie of Birdsong Photography, from the beginning of their preparations, to the moment of their sweet First Look on the bridge over the Koi Pond, to their final honorary toast!

Alissa chose bright yellow and white flowers for her bouquet, and these cheery theme colors were splashed throughout the wedding by Flowers Unlimited. Their casual Mexican dinner feast was provided by the professional staff at Tortas de Fuego, topped off by the always delicious cupcake treats created by Marla Hutchison. Verve Events and Tents supplied the rentals for this perfect setting.

Downtown Browne accented the ceremony and dinner with their musical talents, until a thunderstorm hit. Not surprisingly, our husband and wife didn’t miss a beat! They took the party to their rooms, including all of the cupcakes that we swooped up just before the downpour, and the celebration continued, energized by the raindrops and their brand new joining!

“Rain or shine, I’m yours forever!”

Happiness Always, Alissa and Mitch!!

A Southwestern Celebration!

The Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village, located in the heart of Sedona, provided the perfect ambiance for Megan and Darren to join their hearts together! We were happy that they chose us to provide our “Day Of” services for their wedding, so they could be free to thoroughly enjoy each and every moment of the day!

Megan and Darren had an awesome time, as you can see from the stunningly creative photos by Addie Mannan Photography. Their special day was filled with an exquisite blend of gentle moments, emotional exchanges, mischievous expressions and gleeful celebrations!

Splendid flowers were provided by Bliss Extraordinary Floral, and at the center of them all was Megan’s unstructured crescent-shaped bouquet, abundantly filled with orange dahlias, white lilac, deep orange peonies, orange ranunculus, light orange garden roses and Queen Anne’s Lace. Megan chose the popular Sedona Beauty Team for her hair and makeup.

Megan and Darren’s lives became as entwined as the bright green ivy vines that arched overhead. They exchanged their loving vows while friends and family happily gave their support to this marriage.

And then it was time to make merry at the reception! The festivities were enjoyed by all, as the evening ended with dancing under the stars.

Megan and Darren, we thank you for inviting us into your incredible day, and we bid you a final farewell, as you continue to transport the joy from your wedding day into all of your future endeavors!

A World of Magic in Sedona

The enchanted world of Harry Potter served as a bewitching backdrop, as Andrea and Jimmy brought their family and friends together to witness and celebrate their joining. This couple’s joy was palpable, as you can see from the photos, with their laughter woven throughout all of their wedding events! And each event had a different location: their First Look was at A Sunset Chateau, and at the exquisite Agave of Sedona the vows were exchanged on the Ceremony Terrace, the cocktail hour was on the Celebration Terrace, and the reception was in the Montage Ballroom. They even enjoyed a romantic photo shoot at Merry Go Round Rock! Andrew Holman brought his photographic expertise to each shot, guaranteeing memories that will last a lifetime.

The ceremony was graced with unstructured romantic flowers by Bliss Extraordinary Floral, and elegant music flowed from Marion Maby’s violin.

Andrea and Jimmy’s classy Harry Potter-themed reception included a Sorting Hat to guide guests to their seats, with the sign reading: “Catch your key to find your house (seat),” and passages that were turned into paper flowers alongside candles as centerpieces.

From the First Dance, “How You Love Me” to the Last Dance, “Beautiful Now,” Downtown Browne rocked the scene! Reliable and festive Verve Events and Tents supplied the rentals, and our own Susan Perry helped with portions of the planning, and tended to each and every detail throughout the entire day.

Andrea and Jimmy, we are so happy that you chose Weddings In Sedona to partner with you on your special day, and we wish you a great deal of magic and wonder, laughter and love, in all of your future adventures as a married couple!

Golden Grace

A shining golden grace was palpable, as it wove throughout Chelsea and Colby’s wedding. From the crisp medallion leaves adorning their romantic and playful engagement photos, to the mid-December glow of the setting butterscotch sun, as it slipped through the canopy of leafy trees to catch a glimpse of that delightful moment, the First Look. It was nestled in the cozy courtyard of the El Portal hotel, where our bride and groom set eyes on each other for the first time on their wedding day. With their cherished teacup Pomeranian Chi Chi (proudly displaying a natural golden crown) tucked safely under arm, Chelsea and Colby made their way to the charming Chapel at Tlaquepaque. The melodic beauty of Elizabeth Elgin’s classic gilded harp accompanied Chelsea, as she walked arm-in-arm with her beloved and proud parents down the aisle, sprinkled with flower petals complimenting her splendid bouquet of deep reds and maroons. All of the floral designs were meticulously created by Sedona Fine Art of Flowers. The sweet affection of their intimate circle of loved ones enveloped them, as the spirit of God’s love for this devoted couple infused their sacred ceremony, led by long-time Sedona officiant Anthony Flesch.

Before, during, and after the ceremony, expert photographer Andrew Holman could be found lending his gifted eye to every shot. Our newlyweds were so taken with his work, that he is now their official family photographer!

The ambiance of Tlaquepaque with its holiday décor made for an especially festive backdrop, and although well past Autumn, there were wispy, autumnal-like leaves carpeting the ground. We’d like to give a nod of appreciation here to the unsung heroes behind Tlaquepaque that made the magic of Chelsea and Colby’s wedding happen, owner Wendy Lippman and manager Liz Mohler.

After the photos, it was off to the reception! Chef Lisa Dahl is credited for hosting Chelsea and Colby’s reception celebration at the newest addition to her Sedona family of restaurants, the exquisite Latin Inspired Grill, Mariposa. And anxiously awaiting the wedding party’s arrival was a delightfully delicious spiced carrot cake with cream cheese filling, and salted caramel cupcakes by Marla Hutchison Cakes.

Northern Arizona Limousine shuttled our happy couple and guests to and fro throughout the day and evening with elegance, and the expertise of Taltos Video Productions will enable Chelsea and Colby to relive their wedding over and over again throughout the years.

All of the elements of our finest, most complete package, the Tlaquepaque Completar were brought together at just the right times, to create a truly enchanting wedding experience for Chelsea and Colby.

The first definition of grace from Dictionary.com is elegance or beauty of form, manner, motion, or action. This couldn’t more appropriately describe our bride, Chelsea. Their second definition of grace is a pleasing or attractive quality or endowment. The quality of graciousness truly shines in and from her. From the beginning to the end of the planning process, Chelsea showed us nothing but grace. Her kindness is palpable, and when we met Colby, it was clear they were a match made in heaven!

It was our absolute honor and pleasure to plan your wedding, Chelsea and Colby, and we can’t wait to see your family grow over the years, infused with the golden grace of your love!

Sacred Native Nuptials

Our adventuresome and strikingly handsome couple, Cecilia and Thomas, became husband and wife high above Sedona proper, at the magnificent Merry Go Round Rock! Bon Miller Wedding Photography caught it all, as the excited bride and groom and their guests traversed the winding, bouncy road in jeeps provided by A Day in the West, to this truly one-of-a-kind setting. Native American Medicine Man Mario Blackwolf, from the Mechica Apache tribe, performed the sacred ceremony, with the smell of sage dancing on the wind, and Oman Ken’s Native American flute music filling the vistas with an ancient spiritual melody.

Upon their return to level ground, they landed at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa. As their guests enjoyed an inviting cocktail hour at Timo Restaurant, our newlyweds snuck off for a few more photos down by the creek. When they rejoined their party, they glided elegantly into their First Dance. Cecilia and Thomas then tipped their glasses together in celebration, as they  appreciated their unique cake, the topper being a whimsical expression of the moment that they met—on an airplane!

We send warm and happy wishes to you, Cecilia and Thomas, for a marriage graced with an exciting and romantic road that never ends!

Romance That Rocks!

Susy and Robby were a quintessentially stunningly-cool wedding couple! Check out their fashion statements—what a breathtaking dress and trendy suit!! They brought a bit of their hometown Miami spirit with them, to be sure. We were hired for Day Of Coordination, so when we first met Susy and Robby they were dressed to perfection. Their beauty and chic style were matched only by their kindness of spirit. These two were shining on every level!

Our happy couple exchanged their vows with panoramic red rocks and the quaint city of Sedona as their backdrop, at the ceremony site of Sky Ranch Lodge. Then we saw them off to Huckaby Trail for some up close and personal romantic red rock photos. Afterwards Agave of Sedona was the stunning setting for the time of their lives celebrating their marriage with family and friends.

Susy and Robby chose Mike Olbinski Photography to bring their special day to life, and Sedona Fine Art of Flowers tastefully added succulents to elegant arrangements, bringing a southwestern flair to the day. Our own Susan Perry wove the moments of the day seamlessly together, making sure that all was as it should be.

A toast to the happy couple:

“May thy life be long and happy, thy cares and sorrows few;
And the many friends around thee prove faithful, fond and true.
May your voyage through life be as happy and as free
as the dancing waves on the deep blue Miami sea.”

Happiness Always, Susy and Robby!

Here Come the Brides!

14We were so excited to help our two Sweetheart Brides, Terra and Megan, create their one-of-a-kind wedding day in Sedona! The events began with their First Look, and then they went on to take advantage of the breathtaking red rock panoramic views at Back O’ Beyond. Next, and of course, the highlight of the day, was their intimate wedding ceremony, which they shared with the closest of family and friends. It took place on a carpet of sprawling green grass, in front of a timeless terracotta-roofed gazebo at Poco Diablo Resort. A gorgeous photo session followed the ceremony, graced by a magnificently romantic willow tree, with their loved ones (pups included!) by their side. Terra and Megan’s reception brunch played out immediately afterwards in the ballroom, as their true love was celebrated by all.

Thank you, Terra and Megan, for trusting Weddings In Sedona to weave together your stories, laughter, thoughts, colors, tastes and inspirations, to create your extraordinary wedding day!

Also, a shout out to the professional vendors that helped to bring our special Brides’ dreams to life!

Goin’ to the Chapel!

Weddings in Sedona was happy to help with the wedding of Leilani and Drew, May 2013.  It began with preparations at the hotel, and a luxury limousine ride for Leilani and “the girls” to the Chapel at Sedona Creative Life Center.

After a heart-filled ceremony performed by Anthony Flesch and a passionate kiss, “Husband and Wife” walked down the aisle to the joyous strains of the traditional “Wedding March,” performed by guitar virtuoso, Brian David.

Thanks to Flowers Unlimited for providing a beautiful bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere, including Leilani’s nod to her Hawaiian heritage with purple orchids accenting red roses.  Also provided were silk altar arrangements, an inexpensive alternative to fresh flowers for anyone watching their budget.

David Sunfellow captured the beauty of Sedona in the panoramic red rocks viewed from the upstairs balcony at the Chapel.  All in all, another beautiful wedding day in Sedona!
