Like A Dream

Andy and Jon’s enchanting wedding was a visual feast! As lighthearted as it was sincere, this emotion-swept wedding was embraced by the classic charm of Tlaquepaque’s Patio de Las Campanas. Its timeless arches were filled for this event with long, romantic strings of pink carnations. You’ll see how Andy and Jon blended traditional customs with a breath of fresh air, to create a ceremony and reception that offered us a glimpse into their truly special connection.

And this bride was stunning! Andy’s elegant beauty, combined with her dare-to-be-different wispy blush-pink floral dress, her trendy succulent bouquet which included dusty pinks, desert rose, creams and greens, and her sweet flower crown–all worked their magic to create a brilliant bride to behold! Her groom was the perfect compliment, as Jon was dressed smart, and so charming, in his burgundy brown suit and teal vest.

The ceremony was rich with laughter and love, and the reception was warm and wonderful! Be sure not to miss the reception setup, as the patio was transformed from the lovely ceremony site to the graceful intimate southwestern-style dinner celebration, while guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour on the Terrace at Patio del Norte. And don’t forget to check out the exquisite succulent cake! The bottom tier boasted of chocolate with caramel filling, while the middle tier proceeded with a silky red velvet cake with cream cheese/buttercream filling, and the top tier whispered a soft lemon cake with raspberry filling nestled within. Pure delight!

Andy and Jon, we wish you every happiness imaginable, as your days and nights turn into months and years, and the delightful decades are filled with awesome moments specially planned for just the two of you!

A Southwestern Celebration!

The Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village, located in the heart of Sedona, provided the perfect ambiance for Megan and Darren to join their hearts together! We were happy that they chose us to provide our “Day Of” services for their wedding, so they could be free to thoroughly enjoy each and every moment of the day!

Megan and Darren had an awesome time, as you can see from the stunningly creative photos by Addie Mannan Photography. Their special day was filled with an exquisite blend of gentle moments, emotional exchanges, mischievous expressions and gleeful celebrations!

Splendid flowers were provided by Bliss Extraordinary Floral, and at the center of them all was Megan’s unstructured crescent-shaped bouquet, abundantly filled with orange dahlias, white lilac, deep orange peonies, orange ranunculus, light orange garden roses and Queen Anne’s Lace. Megan chose the popular Sedona Beauty Team for her hair and makeup.

Megan and Darren’s lives became as entwined as the bright green ivy vines that arched overhead. They exchanged their loving vows while friends and family happily gave their support to this marriage.

And then it was time to make merry at the reception! The festivities were enjoyed by all, as the evening ended with dancing under the stars.

Megan and Darren, we thank you for inviting us into your incredible day, and we bid you a final farewell, as you continue to transport the joy from your wedding day into all of your future endeavors!

Golden Grace

A shining golden grace was palpable, as it wove throughout Chelsea and Colby’s wedding. From the crisp medallion leaves adorning their romantic and playful engagement photos, to the mid-December glow of the setting butterscotch sun, as it slipped through the canopy of leafy trees to catch a glimpse of that delightful moment, the First Look. It was nestled in the cozy courtyard of the El Portal hotel, where our bride and groom set eyes on each other for the first time on their wedding day. With their cherished teacup Pomeranian Chi Chi (proudly displaying a natural golden crown) tucked safely under arm, Chelsea and Colby made their way to the charming Chapel at Tlaquepaque. The melodic beauty of Elizabeth Elgin’s classic gilded harp accompanied Chelsea, as she walked arm-in-arm with her beloved and proud parents down the aisle, sprinkled with flower petals complimenting her splendid bouquet of deep reds and maroons. All of the floral designs were meticulously created by Sedona Fine Art of Flowers. The sweet affection of their intimate circle of loved ones enveloped them, as the spirit of God’s love for this devoted couple infused their sacred ceremony, led by long-time Sedona officiant Anthony Flesch.

Before, during, and after the ceremony, expert photographer Andrew Holman could be found lending his gifted eye to every shot. Our newlyweds were so taken with his work, that he is now their official family photographer!

The ambiance of Tlaquepaque with its holiday décor made for an especially festive backdrop, and although well past Autumn, there were wispy, autumnal-like leaves carpeting the ground. We’d like to give a nod of appreciation here to the unsung heroes behind Tlaquepaque that made the magic of Chelsea and Colby’s wedding happen, owner Wendy Lippman and manager Liz Mohler.

After the photos, it was off to the reception! Chef Lisa Dahl is credited for hosting Chelsea and Colby’s reception celebration at the newest addition to her Sedona family of restaurants, the exquisite Latin Inspired Grill, Mariposa. And anxiously awaiting the wedding party’s arrival was a delightfully delicious spiced carrot cake with cream cheese filling, and salted caramel cupcakes by Marla Hutchison Cakes.

Northern Arizona Limousine shuttled our happy couple and guests to and fro throughout the day and evening with elegance, and the expertise of Taltos Video Productions will enable Chelsea and Colby to relive their wedding over and over again throughout the years.

All of the elements of our finest, most complete package, the Tlaquepaque Completar were brought together at just the right times, to create a truly enchanting wedding experience for Chelsea and Colby.

The first definition of grace from Dictionary.com is elegance or beauty of form, manner, motion, or action. This couldn’t more appropriately describe our bride, Chelsea. Their second definition of grace is a pleasing or attractive quality or endowment. The quality of graciousness truly shines in and from her. From the beginning to the end of the planning process, Chelsea showed us nothing but grace. Her kindness is palpable, and when we met Colby, it was clear they were a match made in heaven!

It was our absolute honor and pleasure to plan your wedding, Chelsea and Colby, and we can’t wait to see your family grow over the years, infused with the golden grace of your love!

Tlaquepaque “Best of Everything” Union!

We invite you to take an exclusive journey with us, as we celebrate the marriage of Naomi and Andrew—they came all the way from Virginia to get married in our quaint town of Sedona! We had a blast planning their wedding, and being there on the day itself to watch them infuse their experience with laughter and meaning was truly a gift.

Tlaquepaque lived up to its meaning, “Best of Everything” on the day of Naomi and Andrew’s wedding, a uniquely beautiful backdrop for a uniquely beautiful couple! A symphony of bright flowers adorned the event, as hot pinks and deep purples nuzzled together in bouquets and arrangements bursting with orchids, hydrangeas, anemones, lilies, roses, callas, ranunculus, freesias and stock, all artistically arranged with a “pop of whimsy” by Mountain High Flowers. What a perfect accent to the emerald green dresses Naomi chose for her attendants! Their closest family and friends anxiously anticipated the couple’s arrival, as Eric Miller’s guitar gracefully set the mood with the classic melody of Pachelbel’s Canon in D. At that moment we watched gorgeous Naomi walked down the aisle to meet Andrew, her handsome husband-to-be. The ceremony was performed by our own Rev. Susan Perry, who herself had a hard time keeping her eyes dry!

Then on to the sparkling cocktail hour and stunning reception! Verve Events & Tents set the stage with tables and chairs, specialty linens, dinnerware, and more, creating an oh-so enchanted evening. Filling the plates with delectable fare, and the glasses with luscious libations, was Bonnie Grant and her crew from Rosalie’s of Sedona. The evening was topped off with a simply exquisite lemon lover’s cake with raspberry filling by Marla Hutchison Cakes.

There to creatively capture each memorable moment were top-notch Sedona-based photographers Katrina and Andrew of Sedona Bride. From the casual engagement photos, to the bride and groom “selfie” just after the ceremony, to the quiet moments stolen under an arch made of bricks, and so much more, Sedona Bride was there to capture it all.

Naomi and Andrew were such a joy to work with, that it didn’t really seem like work! They were so loving and inclusive, so responsive and appreciative — what a pleasure! We’d like to take this moment to thank Naomi and Andrew for choosing Weddings In Sedona for their “day of days.” And, we wish you, Naomi and Andrew, a lifetime of delightful experiences, woven together with miles and miles of laughter, happiness and contentment.
